PTO Kickoff Meeting!

All parents of HMS students are invited to attend our kickoff meeting of the 2016-2017 school year. 

This is a great way to keep up with what is going on at the school, in the classrooms, and what your child is learning. 

We are looking for a new Treasurer, Secretary, and Blogger this year. 

Get involved and make a difference! We especially welcome parents of 6th grade students.

Our first PTO Meeting of the year is Thursday, September 15th at 6:30 PM in the school library. 

We look forward to seeing you there!

Your student should have come home with an order form.

If you do not have an order form, please check with Ms. Virun in the school office.

Orders are due by Friday, September 16th!

The price is $13.

MATH Counts

 

 Fun and challenging programs for US Middle School Students

 

 

The MATHCOUNTS Competition Series is a national program that provides students the opportunity to compete in live, in-person contests against and alongside their peers. Created in 1983, it is the longest running MATHCOUNTS program and is open to all sixth, seventh and eighth grade students.

 

If you love Math, this is the place for you! Math Counts meets every Tuesday morning in Ms. Snyder's room before school at 7:15 AM.

Parents and Guardians only please.

 

Childcare will be provided.

 

Introductions to your Hunt Middle School staff.

 

Parents will hear from the teachers about the expectations for students, staff and parents.

 

Curriculum, schedules, ipads and many other topics will be touched on.

More Notes

We’ve had a great opening to the school year and are very pleased to have the students back in action here at school.

 

Fall sports are starting up presently so if your HMS student would like to participate in Soccer, Field Hockey or Cross Country running.

 

Please encourage them to sign up.

2016 -17 Hunt Middle School Blog

 

 

 

Welcome back!

Welcome to Hunt Middle School for our 6th grade families and welcome back to our 7th and 8th grade families.  The building has been polished up by our amazing custodial crew and classrooms are getting ready for our students. 

 

If your student does not know what team or classroom they are in, they are not alone.  Tell them to come to school ready to learn on the first day and we will help them find their rooms.  Schedules are not given out until the first day of school. The first day of school is Wednesday, August 31st for 6th & 7th graders and Thursday, September 1st for our 8th graders.

 

Hunt will be having an informal open house on Tuesday August 30th.  The time has been changed to 2pm with an Ice Cream Social sponsored by our PTO following at 3pm.

Remember that Hunt Middle School has their Picture Day on September 6th. 

We have a new assistant principal. Please say hello and welcome Mattie Scheidt.

 

We are glad to have her on board.  Welcome Miss Mattie!

We have new Spanish teacher, Sarah Wright as Mrs. Currier is at the high school this year. 

We have a new Librarian, Jan Hughes, from the high school. 

Mr. Rock retired and Charles Dabritz has replaced him on the Phoenix team.
