Envelope Stuffers Needed 8/28 (T) or 8/29 (w) between 1-3pm. Our very friendly and hardworking office manager, Michelle Virun, has requested some help getting those pesky 1st day envelopes stuffed - you know the ones that go home the first day with 5000 things to fill out and a deadline of 24 hours.... This is a great parent/child volunteer project! Come for an hour or make an afternoon of it! Rsvp with Michelle at mvirun@bsdvt.org or just show up in the office. Many hands make light work....
Sports teams will start up right away. Unconfirmed word on the street is that the intro sports meeting for all athletes should be on Friday directly after school. Tell your child to listen to the announcements for time/place. Especially for 6th grade families, it is always nice to know where your child is when they fail to show up after school... Target is giving away $25 gift cards to schools - all we have to do is vote for our school. 25 votes = $25 card. Click on the link below to vote - so far we have 11 votes.... Orientation for 6th and 7th graders is next Wednesday from 11-12. Great time to meet all the teachers, see some of the friendly faces on your child's team and ask questions about the team approach. Directly following the orientation (noon), families are invited out back to the Healthy City Youth Garden for conversation and ice cream generously donated by Ben and Jerry's - everyone is welcome! If the weather is rainy, join us in the cafeteria for ice cream and conversation.
